Jennifer is a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. She works with individuals (adults) and couples.  She interacts with clients through empathetic understanding, genuineness, unconditional positive regard, training, and experience. She looks at one’s self-concept and how this shapes their interaction in their world through the use of client-centered therapy using a strength-based approach, including spiritual, energy, and cultural awareness. She creates a genuine therapeutic relationship with each person that is built through respect, honesty, authenticity, compassion, and dignity while accepting where each individual is on their path to wellness. She also uses evidenced based trauma trained models (EMDR, ART, Brainspotting, and Hypnoanalysis), trauma informed care, and a bottom-up (body and brain) approach to healing. Her belief is that we all fall under the spectrum of trauma with one end of the spectrum being Post-traumatic stress disorder (Big T) and the other end having experienced hurtful events in our lives (Little t), which is simply part of the human condition.
